«The great god Pan is dead»: A Lecture on Poetics and Religion. In this lecture the Swiss author Thomas Hürlimann offers insight into his experience as a pupil of a Catholic convent school, where he not only received a Catholic education but also had a first contact with atheism and fundamental doubts. His later studies and his life in Berlin led him to a critique of a modern society which has discarded metaphysics.
