The Garden as a Space for Humanity. This essay examines the garden as a specific location of human existence and develops an anthropology of gardening. It argues that gardens can help humans to recognize themselves. The garden is also a place of high religious significant, not just for Judaism and Christianity. Insofar as the garden unites nature and culture, it is a symbol of reconciliation. The essays thus interprets the garden as a school of humanity.
