Reality, the Good and the Evil: In Memoriam Josef Pieper. Pieper’s reflexion belongs to the turn of philosophy to «reality» since the beginning of the century in 1900. Neo-Kantianism had made thinking, and likewise ethics, only a psychological und subjective expression, reinforced by the historisation of «truth». In contrast to that development the phenomenology of Husserl and Scheler innovated a new ontological thinking. Also Pieper works on the (ethical) relation between human person and world: «All being is good.» On the other hand the evil hinders and annihilates reality.
