A Culture of Conflict Management. Conflict as an ambivalent and morally indifferent phenomenon can have both negative and positive impacts depending on the respective manner of conflict management. While violent conflicts promote destruction and dysfunction, productive conflicts can be seen as functional conflicts including creative potential. Based on a culture of constructive conflict management (konstruktive Konfliktkultur) these conflicts can unfold impacts, which promote peace, integration and development. Therefore, productive conflicts represent a fundamental component of normative models in peace etWhics and peace politics.
