During the Corona pandemic, society and the Church have experienced a strong push of digitalisation. It has also reached the liturgy. The fact that liturgy can take place in the digital space is rarely disputed in principle. But can the Eucharist also be celebrated digitally? This article analyses the problems and describes the conditions under which a digital Eucharist could be possible in terms of theology and ritual. At the same time, it makes clear that the discussion about liturgies in the digital space makes the search for suitable forms necessary.
