Augustine’s Sermons: ‘Documents of Abundant Life’. Animation for fresh reading” – The discovery of 26 new sermons of “The
Rome journey of a Lüneburg Legation to the Curia of Pope Nicholas V in 1453/54 in the mirror of expenses” – This article examines the journey of a legation from the North German city of Lüneburg led by the mayor Albert van der Molen. The aim of this journey was to obtain Pope Nicholas V’s support for the city’s leaders in their long-lasting confrontation with several ecclesiastical institutions over their appropriate taxation of their property titles in Lüneburg. This journey is exceptionally well documented, as a daily list of the costs has survived. This makes it possible to reconstruct the exact itinerary of this legation, its personnel networks in Rome, their efforts to involve the papal administration, and their daily life, which is rare for the 15th century.
