A history of the Archives of the General Curia of the Order of Preachers” – The archives of the General Curia of the Order of Preachers, kept in Rome at the Santa Sabina offer a relatively small amount of documents, given the complex organization of the Dominican government and the activity of the preachers since the 13th century. This survey of the archives created to serve the mission of the Masters of the Order attempts to mark out the
history of its holdings that were collected more to honour the historiography of the order than to support the government of its Masters General.
