Zusammenfassung / Summary
Natural science does not tell us, what the things and facts are in and of themselves. In science, knowledge follows only one method: causality and the rationality of ends and means, technically applied. There is nothing else existing as it is in this rational world: no ‘you’ nor an ‘I’, let alone God. As far as the things as such - a tree, a plant - are, science makes use of everyday language. This is where Theology has to get involved, in it’s attempt to talk about the living God in nature that is alive. The ground on which Theology rests is the recognition of the individual human beings, that it is not they that made their lives, but they owe life to that God who calls them to life, as he does all life.
