Starting from an argument by David Hume, the article deals with challenges to the rationality of religious belief posed by a new awareness of religious diversity. In light of the contemporary epistemological discussion on peer disagreement the article argues that religious diversity does not necessarily render religious faith irrational, not even under the assumption that some adherents of different religions are epistemic equals. However, in some cases it may require of religious believers to reduce the certainty of their own religious beliefs.
