Zusammenfassung / Summary
In view of the different phases of Karl Rahner’s writings, as illustrated in the edition of his works, we can identify different theological loci and sources that are decisive for Rahner’s theological reflection and judgment. In particular, these are the Ignatian spirituality, the theology of the Church Fathers, Neo-Scholastic Theology, modern philosophy (from Descartes and Kant to Heidegger), and finally the social situatedness of faith and the Church as the place of “pastorality”. It thereby becomes clear that the core of Rahner’s basic option in the theology of grace consists in the reformulation of the traditional question of the analysis dei.
